National Education Policy 2020: Students will Go to School from 3 Years Onwards; Curriculum will be in 5+3+3+4 Format

National Education Policy will be implemented at school level in Odisha. A notification has been published by the Department of Public Education. The National Education Policy 2020 prepared by the Union Minister of Education will be implemented in the state.

What is National Education Policy?

According to this policy the exiting 10th and 12th school education structure will be changed. 5+3+3+4 pattern will be taught in the school.

Enrolled in School from the Age of 3

Children will go to school from the age of 3. In the first 5 years, students will receive basic education . Anganwadi, 1st and 2nd grade will include speech, music, stories, crafts, reading materials and toys. Preparatory education in 3rd to 5th grade, middle school in 6th to 8th grade and secondary education in 9th to 12th grade.

12th Pass in 18 Years

According to National Education Policy, students will pass12th in 18 years. The child will start school in 3 years. Anganwadi (3 to 6 years), 2 years of primary school (6 to 8 years) are kept. In preparatory phase, students will study feom 3rd to 5th class. At this time age will be 8 to 11 years. By the time they study 6th to 8th standard, the age will be 11 to 14 years. After that the student will study from 9th to 12th for 4 years.
