Ayushman Card New Updates: Beneficiary Now will Get Free Treatment Up to Rs. 10 lakh

Great news for ‘Ayushman Card’ holders. If you are having the Ayushman card,and if someone in your family falls sick, then you will get free treatment up to Rs. 10 lakh. You just have to show this card. The government is seriously considering increasing the coverage amount of Ayushman Bharat Card from 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs.
If approved, around 12 crore families will directly benefited from this scheme. Not only this, the government is also preparing to include people above 70 years of age under this Ayushman scheme.
The government is considering doubling the number of beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) in the next three years, according to official sources in the central government. If this happens, more than two-thirds of the country will begin to benefits from this scheme. Initially, all people above the age of 70 will be brought under its wing. Some of these announcements are expected to be made during the budget session.
What is Ayushman Bharat Yojana?
Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), is a flagship scheme of Government of India that aims to provide free cashless treatment for up to 5 Lakhs from the enrolled public and private hospitals for more than 10 crore poor and vulnerable beneficiary families.
Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, launched by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Indian government would concede candidates an Ayushman Bharat Card, qualifying them to Free Treatment in hospitals with whom they have contracts. Ayushman Bharat Card benefits a large number of Indians, who get free medical treatment.

How to Apply for Ayushman Card Online?
Check your Eligibility Online
- Visit the official Website of Ayushman Bharat at pmjay.gov.in.
- Click on ‘Am I Eligible?’ to check your eligibility.
- Enter your mobile number, captcha code and generate OTP.
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile and click on ‘Verify OTP’.
- Then, fill the important information such as name, age, state, family members and income details.
- Once detail entered click on ‘Submit’ and your eligibility status will appear on screen.
Apply for Ayushman Card Online
- After checking eligibility, visit the official website at pmjay.gov.in site to begin the process of online application.
- Open website and click on the ABHA- registration button and use the Aadhar card to begin the process.
- Enter the OTP generated to verify the Aadhar.
- Enter the other information including name, income, and PAN card.
- Wait for the application to be approved, after that Ayushman card can be downloaded.
- Once the application is approved, you can visit the website again, and enter the Aadhar card number to generate OTP to access the digital copy of their Ayushman Card.
- Download and print out the card to make cashless treatment available in hospitals.
