Ayushman Vay Vandana Card: Know How Senior Citizens can Get Free Treatment worth Rs 5 Lakhs

Ayushman Vay Vandana Card was launched in October 2024 under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). It aims to provide free health insurance of Rs 5 lakh to all Indian citizens aged 70 years and above, irrespective of their income or prior eligibility. This health initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, provides comprehensive coverage for around 2,000 medical procedures, including pre-existing conditions, without any waiting period.

Who can Get this Ayushman Vay Vandana Card?

• Any Indian citizen aged 70 years or above can apply.
• People already covered under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jana Arogya Yojana will get this as an additional top-up. Effectively doubling their coverage.
• People covered under home insurance or other government health schemes will also be eligible.

How to Register and Download Ayushman App?

• Download ‘Ayushman App’ from Google Play Store. If applicable, select ‘Login as Beneficiary’ or ‘Operator.’
• Enter Captcha, Mobile Number and select Authentication Method.
• Enter the OTP, Captcha code and click on Login.
• Allow the app to access your device location. Enter the beneficiary details including Aadhaar and state information.
• If the beneficiary is not found, agree to OTP verification and complete the eKYC process.
• Fill the declaration form and provide the required information.
• Submit the beneficiary’s mobile number and OTP.
• Enter details like pin code and category. Add family members if required and proceed.
• Once e-KYC is approved, Ayushman Vay Vandana Card will be available for download.
