The Union Government through the Ministry of Labor has issued guidelines for the Employee’s Provident Fund organization(EPFO). Central government has decided to make Aadhaar based OTP (One Time Password) mandatory for activation of UAN (Universal Account Number) of employees. After activating UAN through this OTP, employees can easily take advantage of EPFO’s extensive online services.

The Ministry of Labor is working to fulfill the commitments announced in the Union Budget 2025 to ensure that employers and applicants benefit from the The Employment-Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme. For this, the Ministry of Labor and Employment has asked the EPFO to work in campaign mode, so that they can activate the UAN of the employees. With OTP based UAN activation, employees can manage their public fund accounts effectively.
