The Loksabha election has already started and for that the voter list for 2024 has been made available on the official website of the Election Commission of India. The third phase of elections already completed on 7th May 2024. Before that the first phase and second phase was completed on 10th and 28th respectively. If you already have your Voter ID card, then you are eligible to cast your vote this year. But before that you have to download your Electorial Slip or Voter Slip. If you have Voter Slip , then only you can cast your vote on polling booth. You can visit the official website of Election Commission of India at eci.gov.in and download your Voters Slip online. Go through this article and know the complete process to check your name in Voter List online and download your Voter Slip.
If the voters name is on the voter list or the registered voters, most of the time they can received their Voter Slip from the Election Commission of India (ECI) on their home. Voters can also get their Voter Slip from their pooling booth, where different camps are organised. Voters can visit the polling camp with their ID proof or other necessary documents to look for their name on the voters list and get the Voter Slip.
If you don’t receive your Voter Slip from ECI or don’t want to visit the polling booths to get your Voter Slip, then with the ease of online system you can check your name in voter list and download your Voter Slip through online with in a few minutes. If you see error in your information on Voter Slip, then you should correct it atleast ten days prior to the elections. Once the voting is set to begin, changes are not permitted. You just have to take your Voting Slip and one of your ID proof with you to the polling booth to cast your vote.
What is Voter Slip?
Voter Slip is the document issued by Election Commission of India (EIC), ahead of an election to inform voters about the necessary details. The Voter Slip contains the Voters information like name, age, gender, assembly constituency and the detail address of polling station, room number, date and time of poll and more. Voter Slip also contains a QR code for quickly verifying the voters’ details.
How to Check your Name in Voter List or Download Voter Slip?
- To check your name on Voter List and download your Voter Slip, first open your web browser and visit the website at eci.gov.in . This is the website of Election Commission of India (EIC) and in this website you will get all the updates regarding Loksabha Elections 2024.
- When you open the website you will see all the details of 2024 elections like how many phases of elections, Dates of different state elections and other details.
- Scroll down you will see the option ‘Search Your Name on Electorial Roll’. Here you will see Search Your Name. Near to this you will see the option ‘Know Your Polling Station’. In this option you can see where will be your polling station, the complete address and the other options.
To search your name on voter list, click on the first option ‘Search Your Name on Electorial Roll’ and you will see three different options.
1. Search by EPIC
2. Search by Details
3. Search by Mobile Number
1. Search by EPIC
- In this option you can search your name through Voter ID number. Voter id number you can find on your voter id card.
- Just enter your voter id number and right side select your state, then enter the captcha code below and click on Search.
- After that your Voter Slip will open, that you can download or direct print it.
2. Search by Details
- If you don’t have your voter id card, then you can enter your details and through your details you can search your name on Electorial Roll.
- Just click on the ‘Search by Details’ option and then enter your details in the available box such as your first name, middle name, surname, husband/father’s name, D.O.B, age (if your voter id doesn’t have your full date of birth, you can only fill your age on given age box).
- Then, select gender, district, select your assembly constituency. Fill the captcha code below and tap on Search and your Voter Slip will open, you can download it or can directly print it from here.
3. Search by Mobile Number
- You can also have another option to get your Voter Slip. Through your mobile number you can download your Voter Slip but this option only applicable for those who have new voter id card and their mobile number linked to it.
- You just have tap on this Search by ‘Mobile Number’ option, then enter your mobile number, enter the captcha code and an OTP will send to your linked mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and click on Search and Voter Slip will open, you can download it or print it from here.
