Wi-Fi calling allows users to make and receive phone calls (voice or video) over any Wi-Fi network instead of a cellular network in an area with poor or no cellular network. The best part is that it uses your existing phone number. You just have to do is to connect to a Wi-Fi network, at home, at work or a public place and then, place a call like you do normally.
The difference between Wi-Fi calling and regular phone calls is with Wi-Fi calling, the call is routed to a Wi-Fi network instead of your phone service provider’s network. We have all experienced at least one time where our phone provider’s coverage was so poor and in this case Wi-Fi calling can be a great alternative if your smartphone is connected to a wireless network.
