Does Instagram Keep Deleted Photos?
If you are recently deleted any Instagram post (photos and videos) on purpose or accidentally, then don’t worry, Instagram still retained your deleted posts for up to 30 days. After 30 days it will be permanently removed by Instagram. If you want to recover your deleted Instagram posts, you can better be get them back before 30 days, of its deletion. Otherwise, you won’t be able to get them back after that 30 days period.
Your deleted Instagram articles, stories, images, videos and reels will be secured by Instagram in the “Recently Deleted” folder for 30 days of deletion. You can select the post that you want to recover and hit on “Restore”. If you want you can also choose “Delete” to permanently remove the post.
How To Recover Deleted Instagram Posts
Before get started, remember you can only recover the deleted posts from the past 30 days. After 30 days any post you’ve deleted will be permanently removed from the “Recently deleted” folder also and you cannot restore any deleted posts. Only way to recover, if you have saved the Post in your photo gallery.
1. Go To “Your activity”
- To recover your recently deleted posts, first open your Instagram and in bottom right corner you will see your profile icon click on that.
- Open your profile page and in top right corner you will see the Menu button, click on that.
- Open Menu and you will see different options like “Settings,” “Your activity,” “Archive,” and others. To control your Instagram activity, go to the option “Your activity.”
2. Tap On “Recently deleted”
Open the option “Your activity” by clicking on that and here you will manage all your Instagram activity like check and manage your account, posts, videos and activities. You can also view your recently deleted posts in the “Recently deleted” folder under the Removed and archived content option. To recover the deleted Instagram posts you will tap on the “Recently deleted” option.
3. Select The Post That You Want To Restore
When you tap on the “Recently Deleted”, you will see all the recently deleted contents that includes images videos, reels, and more on that page. In each post you will see a timer that indicates that when that post will be permanently removed from this folder. You can choose the posts here, that you want to recover by select it.
4. Tap On “Restore”
- After choose the deleted Instagram post that you want to recover, now you can click on that for preview.
- To recover the content, you will see in top right corner 3 dots menu is there, you can click on that and you will be able to access few choices.
- When you will click on that three dot menu, you will see two options “Restore” and “Delete”.
- Using the Delete option You can delete the post permanently. By selecting Restore option, you will be recover the deleted posts that you have already selected.
- When you click on “Restore” the post will appear on your profile and your followers once again will be able to see that on your profile.
