How to Repost on Instagram

Repost on Story

You can Repost on instagram by sharing it to your instagram Story.

First open the instagram app on your mobile and find the video that you want to Repost and tap on the share icon either below the video or at the right side of the screen.
From menu that appears below, select Add to Story and a new story post will be drafted for you featuring the video you have selected. If you want you can add text and stickers and music to your Story.
Then, tap on the option ‘ Your Story’ at bottom left corner to share it. When people view your Story, they can watch the video you have shared and tap the video to view the original post.

Repost to Instagram Feed or Reels

If you want to repost the video on your profile, then you need to download a third-party app.

Repost for IG – Posts & Stories

To repost on your instagram feed or as reels, first you have to download the Repost for IG – Posts & Stories App from Play Store for free and install it to your mobile.
To repost a video on instagram in to your own feed, open your instagram app and find the video that you want to repost.
From the menu that appears below, select the option Copy Link.
After that open the Repost for IG app and it prompt Allow Paste.
In the Repost app, that automatically load the video you have selected. Tap on the video when it appears.
After that you have to configure the settings for your repost.
By default the Attribution mark with the original creators Username will appear in white in the bottom left corner. You can tap attribution mark to change it to black or repositioning it one of the other corner instead if you like.
If you want to reuse the original video caption, leave the Copy Caption switch turn on. If you don’t want to copy the caption, disable the Copy Caption by toggle it off, then tap on Repost below.
Then, 3 options will appear below that are Story, Reel or Messages, select either of them depending upon which type of post you reposting.
You can edit your video either by adding filters if you posting a feed post or you can use Reels editing tools if you reposting as Reel, then tap on Next.
When you get to the posting stage, if you reposting the original video caption, then tap in to the Caption Video and Paste in the original caption.
If you want to write your own caption, then instead of paste, you can type on your own.
You can then add tags, location, music if you like. When you ready tap on Share button at the bottom right corner to Repost the video. The video will then reposted in your own instagram profile.
