The Indian Premier League 2022 also known as IPL 2022,the 15th edition of Indian Premier League going to start from tonight. TATA IPL 2022 has been scheduled from 26th March 2022 to 29th May 2022. This year opening match will be playing today on 26th March 2022 at Wankhede stadium Mumbai between the defending champion Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders.
BCCI added 2 new teams this year before IPL 2022 . The teams are Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.
Chennai super kings and Kolkata knight riders will be the tournament opener this year and also this will be the repeat of previous years final. In previous meeting CSK ended up on the winning side. So, this year KKR might take revenge for losing out in the final last year.
Both teams overseas players are arriving late this year. So, it might be slightly affected both the teams. Moeen Ali will not going to play the first match. Also the CSK captain legendary MS Dhoni stepping down his captaincy and handed over to the Ravindra Jadeja for the season .
On the other hand Kolkata knight riders also slightly affected with Aaron Finch and Pat Cummins arriving late. Also the KKR look up to its new skipper Shreyas Iyer will do the magic.
It is going to be a heavy weight clash between CSR and KKR.
