Kisan Credit Card(KCC)-How to Apply for KCC Through Online and Offline?

If you are a beneficiary of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme and want to apply for Kisan Credit Card, then through online or offline you can apply for this. In Kisan Credit Card farmers can get upto Rs.1.6 lakh loan without any collaterals. Get upto 3 lakhs loan with 7% interest. If the farmer repay the loan amount in right time, then they can also get 3% extra discount in loan amount.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme was launched by the Government of India during the 2019 Interim Union Budget. Under this scheme, all farmers can avail up to Rs.6,000 every year as their income support.
To make sure the institutional credit more accessible to all the farmers of the country government is now bringing together the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme and the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. All beneficiaries under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme can now get a Kisan Credit Card.
Eligibility Criteria to Apply for KCC
- Kisan credit card loan is provided to anyone who is engaged in agriculture, allied activities or other non-farming activities.
- The minimum and maximum age of the individual to avail this scheme is 18 years and 75 years, respectively.
- The farmer must have landholding for agricultural purposes.
- The individual must also have savings bank account.
- The Farmer must have fertile land to take this KCC loan.
- In case a borrower is a senior citizen, a co-borrower is mandatory.
- The individuals eligible for this scheme are: Individuals or joint cultivators, Owners, Tenant farmers, Oral lessees, Sharecroppers, SHGs or joint liability groups including tenant farmers.
Documents Required to Apply for KCC
Proof of Identity document, any one of the following:
- Voter ID card
- Aadhar Card
- Driving license
- PAN card
Adress Proof, any one of the following:
- Voter ID card
- Aadhar Card
- Rent Agreement
- Utility bills
- Bank Statement with current address
How to Apply for Kisan Credit Card
Through online or offline you can apply for the Kisan credit card.
Online Process
- To apply for KCC online, first you have to visit the website of the bank from where you want to apply for the kisan credit card scheme.
- Open the choosen bank website and from the list of options, choose the Kisan Credit Card option.
- Click on the option of ‘Apply’ and that bank website will redirect you to the application page.
- Here, Fill the application form with the required details and click on ‘Submit’.
- When you click on submit button an application reference number will be sent to your number.
- If you are eligible for the KCC scheme, then the bank will get back to you for the further process within 3-4 working days.
Offline Process
- To apply for KCC loan scheme offline, you have to first visit the branch of the bank who offering KCC loan.
- Obtain the application form and fill in the form with required details and then submit the form with all the required documents at the branch to the loan officer.
- The loan officer after considering all the factors will set the Kisan credit card loan limit. If the loan amount exceeds Rs.1.6 lakh, collateral need to be submitted for security purpose.
- You can either download the application form from choosen bank and submit it offline by going to the branch of the bank or you can
- Once the entire process has been completed, farmer will receive their Kisan credit card and the requested amount will be credited to the farmer’s account within the specific time period.
Eligible Beneficiaries Under this Scheme Under Fisheries and Animal Husbandry
Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture
- Fishers, fish farmers, SHGs, JLGs, and women’s organisations.
- In order to qualify as a beneficiary, must own or lease any fisheries-related business.
- Owning or renting a pond, an open water body, a tank, or a hatchery.
Marine Fisheries
- You own a registered boat or other fishing craft.
- Having the required permits or licences for estuary or ocean fishing.
Poultry
Individual farmers or joint borrowers, SHGs, JLGs, and tenant farmers of sheep, rabbits, goats, pigs, birds, poultry, and have sheds they have owned, rented, or leased.
Dairy
Farmers, dairy farmers, SHGs, JLGs, and tenant farmers who own, lease, or rent sheds.
