The Madhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY) is a Pension Scheme by the Women & Child Development Department, Government of Odisha. This scheme was launched on 1st January 2008. All the beneficiaries being covered under the “State Old Age Pension Scheme, 1989” and the “Odisha Disability Pension Scheme, 1985” in the State at present will be treated as beneficiaries under MBPY and will be provided a pension of upto ₹ 700/- per month. List of Madhu Babu Pensions depending on their age, transgender people would receive stipends ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs. 900.
Benefits of Madhu Babu Pension Yojana
- For the beneficiary who is between 60-79 years of age, the pension amount under Madhu Babu Pension amount per month would be ₹ 500.
- For the beneficiary who is 80 years and above in age, pension amount under Madhu Babu Pension
amount per month would be ₹ 700. - The pension will be disbursed on the 15th of every month, on “JANA SEWA DlWAS” in the denomination of ₹ 100/-.
Eligibility Criteria For Madhu Babu Pension Yojana
1. The applicant should qualify for one of the following criteria
a) Applicants who are 60 years of age or older.
b) Widow of any age.
c) Leprosy patient of any age who exhibits outward indications of deformities.
d) PWD of any age: The applicant is a person of 5 years of age or, above and unable to do normal work due to his/her deformity or disability being blind or, orthopedically handicapped, mentally retarded, with cerebral palsy.
e) Widow of an AIDS patient.
f) AIDS patient identified by the State / District AIDS Control Society (irrespective of income as under Rule 6 (b).
2. The applicant’s family’s annual income shall not exceed Rs. 24000.
3. Only people who lives in Odisha permanently are eligible to apply.
4. The applicant is not receive benefits from any other pension plan run by the state, union, or any government-affiliated entity.
Disbursement Of Pension
On the on the 15th of every month, on “JANA SEWA DlWAS” recipient will get the cash portion of their pension. The Block Development Officer (BDO) or any subordinate officer designated by the BDO in the Gram Panchayat Office for Rural Areas would give the pension’s disbursement. The District Social Security Officer (DSSO) or any subordinate officer designated by the DSSO would give Old Age Pension Odisha disbursements at the municipal office in urban areas.

How To Apply For Madhu Babu Pension Yojana Online?
Through online or offline you can apply for this program.
To apply offline you can go to the Executive Officer of the Municipality/NAC or the Office of the Block Development Officer.
- For online process go to the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities official website at https://ssepd.odisha.gov.in/
- In homepage navigate to the “Apply for scheme” and click on that.
- A new page will open, where you have to choose “Madhu Babu Pension Yojana” under the “Old Age Pension Odisha” scheme.
- The application form will show up on the screen when you select the “Proceed” option.
- After selecting the scheme type, here you have to enter the name, date of birth, gender, Aadhar number, district, subdivision, address, and socioeconomic category.
- Then, you have to upload a recent passport-size photo of Old Age Pension Odisha, a thumb impression or signature, and a scan copy of your Aadhar card.
- After that carefully read the declaration, check the box, then click on “submit.”

- Open your your browser and go to the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities official website at https://ssepd.odisha.gov.in/ .
- In homepage search for the “Apply for scheme” link.
- A new page will open where you have to choose “Madhu Babu Pension Yojana” under the “Track application status” section.
- To open the form directly, select the “Track” option.
- Enter the application number, and select “Search.”
