Odisha Medical Health Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Services) Amendment Rules-2025 will be made. It means that changes will be made in Odisha Medical Health Services Amendment Rules 2017. This will have special rules for the recruitment and promotion of doctors. A stricter approach will be taken in the employment sector after the change in the healthcare law in the state. In other words, reforms will be brought in the field of doctor jobs. The Health Department has issued a notification on Monday.
According to the notification, in the new rules Grade ‘A’ (Junior Branch), Grade ‘B’ (Senior Branch), Junior Administrative Grade (Giant Director), Selection Grade (Additional Director), Senior Administrative Grade (CDM and PHO) and Super Time Pay Grade (Director or Special Secretary)will be promoted. In this, except Grade ‘A’ (Junior Branch) posts, other posts will be promoted as per Rules-8. Only for Grade ‘A’ (Junior Branch) posts competitive examination will be conducted by the Commission.
Vacancies will be recruited based on the examination results given by the commission. Similarly, committees have been formed for promotion in various grades. The departmental secretary is the chairman while the special secretary, director of health are the members. Additional Secretary is its coordinator.
