Central govt was launched a scheme for all the Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs) in India who aged between 18 to 40 years called Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY). What is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana ?
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana is an old-age pension scheme commonly referred to as PM Kisan Pension Yojana. This scheme was launched on August 9, 2019 for Small and Marginal Farmer who aged between 18 – 40 years. Under this scheme, after 60 years, the farmers will earn a fixed guaranteed income of Rs. 3000 every month as a pension amount. In case the farmer dies then, their spouse can eligible to earn 50% of the income as a family member. The family pension is only applicable for the spouses of farmers.
How to Get the PM Kisan Pension?
- The beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana must be a Small and Marginal Farmer who aged between 18 – 40 years.
- Under this scheme beneficiary would have to make financial contributions, that ranging from Rs.55 to Rs.200 per month, upto 60 years of age.
- When the beneficiary reaches 60 years of age, he/she can claim the pension amount.
- After 60 year the beneficiary can get a set amount of pension each month in their pension account.

- Who own cultivable land up to 2 hectares as per land records of their respective State/UT
- One should possess an Aadhaar card
- One should have a savings bank account or a PM-KISAN account

How to Apply for PM Kisan Pension
Online Process
- Beneficiaries can visit the Maandhan portal or the website of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana at https://maandhan.in/ and select “Click Here to Apply Now”.
- After that, a window will open. Here you will see the two options – Self Enrollment and CSC VLE.
- You can click on the self-enrollment option if you want to apply for it online.
- Then, fill the basic details like your name, contact number, email id, and enter OTP to proceed next
- After that four schemes will appear, you can click on enrolment option and select PMKMY scheme.
- Next, PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana online registration form will apppear, you can fill in all the details as per the form and click on ‘Submit’. But before click on Submit you must check all details.
Offline Process
- Eligible farmers can also register for Kisan Maandhan Yojana offline and enrol themselves at the nearest CSC or Common Service Centre.
- Before going to CSC, applicants must keep the following documents ready.
- Savings Bank Account Number with IFSC Code (Cheque or copy of bank statement or bank passbook).
- Aadhaar Card
- Then, payment of initial contribution amount in cash will be made to the VLE or Village Level Entrepreneur.
- For authentication purposes, a VLE will take into account the applicant’s name, aadhaar number, and DOB (date of birth) as mentioned on aadhaar card.
- Then, a VLE will complete the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana online registration by filling up the farmers details like contact number, email address, bank account details, and spouse details (if any).
- The system will calculate monthly payable amount automatically as per their age. Applicants will pay the 1st subscription amount in cash to the VLE.
- After that an Enrolment cum Auto Debit mandate form will get printed. Eligible applicants will sign this form.
- VLE will scan the signed form and upload this on the system.
- After that a unique KPAN or Kisan Pension Account Number will be generated, and a Kisan Card will get printed.
