After leading telecom company Reliance Jio recently hiked the prices of selected recharge plans, other telecom companies have also hiked the rates of some of their plans.
Jio has revised the prices of around 19 recharge plans and increased the rates, this includes recharge plans like postpaid and prepaid, whose prices have been increased by up to 27 percent. The prices of recharge plans with validity from 28 days to 1 year have been changed and the new plan list has also been implemented for everyone from July 3.
Jio Discontinues its Entertainment Plans
The company has discontinued the entertainment pack along with burdening the pockets of Jio users. Earlier there were 21 entertainment plans from the company are available but now only 7 apps are available on Jio platform. Jio users won’t be able to enjoy OTT apps like Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, SonyLIV at affordable prices.
Jio Plan Under Rs.1000
Jio was offering 3 plans for less than 1000, that are Rs. 805, Rs. 806, Rs. 909. With the Rs 805 plan, benefits like 2GB data per day, ZEE5 and SonyLIV were available for 84 days. Apart from this, there was a Rs 806 plan with 84 days validity, which has the same benefits as Rs 805. However, the Rs 909 recharge plan had the same benefits as the Rs 806 and Rs 805, only the data benefits were slightly higher. 2.5 GB of data per day was availed with this plan. Apart from these three entertainments, Jio has discontinued other recharge plans.
Below are entertainment plans which has been discontinued;
Jio Recharge Plan Below Rs.5000
1. Many entertainment plans below Rs 5,000 have been discontinued. All plans are with 365 days validity. However, as the number of GB data and OTT apps increases, so do the rates of the plans.
2. With Jio’s Rs 2,999 recharge plan, the benefit of 2.5GB data per day was available, but this plan has also been discontinued. Jio’s Rs 378 plan also came with 2.5GB data per day, but also included Disney+ Hotstar subscription.
3. The Rs 3225 and Rs 3226 plans that come with Sony LIV and ZEE5 subscriptions have also been discontinued.
4. The Rs 3,277 recharge plan that came with 2GB per day and Amazon Prime Video subscription has also been discontinued.
5. The 3662 recharge plan, which came with 2.5GB data with Sony LIV and ZEE5, has also been discontinued.
6. 4498 recharge plan that comes with 2GB data per day JioTV Premium subscription and 78GB bonus data, but the company has removed this plan as well.
