Facebook exposed data of Facebook users to a researcher of Cambridge Analytica is the biggest scandal of Facebook. This Scandal is over the Facebook’s careless data sharing policy with the third party advertiser and developer . Cambridge Analytica is the political consultancy firm working for the trump campaign and harvested raw data from over the 87 millions Facebook users.

Facebook also plans to conduct complete audit. If anything fishy will found then Facebook will ban developers from using this platform.
- Facebook will also plans to revoke the access of those apps you haven’t used with in last 3 months. There are tons of apps those have access to your data, you can see them in Facebook privacy settings.
- Facebook also plans to notify regarding misuse of the data of all the affected people of Cambridge Analytica scandal. That scandal affects over 87 millions people. That scandal starts with an app named thisisyourdigitallife. This Facebook plan will also cover other apps including this.
- Facebook introduced login to your Facebook to simplify login process and also to get access to some basic user data. But after complete failure of this, Facebook company plans to restrict the shared data to limit in your name, email and profile picture. Facebook approval will be mandatory in case the developer needs more data access. Mark Zuckerberg also added in his statement that ‘we will made developers not only require to get approval but also sign a contract for anyone to asking the access to their posts or other private data’.
- In privacy settings you can see which apps are using your data. For this Facebook plans to more prominent this option with a tool over the newsfeed. It will be easier to revoke app permissions.

These are the steps announced by Facebook to gain users trust. But Facebook company failed to tell why actions were not taken in the first place to enforce basic data sharing rules.
