1. View once media
After so many controversies about leaking of personal data, WhatsApp added a new feature i.e. view once. ln this feature automatically your sent picture or video will be delete, once the recipient open it. It has privacy control. After view once it can remove from chat box . It also doesn’t get saved in gallery of recipient. Also not able to forwarding that particular media. It also gives some warning. This feature is not supported by screen detection features that means recipient may take screenshot that particular media and also can screen record the media.
How to use :
First you have to update your whatsapp to the latest version from Google play store/ apple play store. Open the WhatsApp then, tap on one chat . After that select an image or video to send that person. After select media you can see one small circle written with 1 inside on the dialogue box. Tap on 1 circle. Enable view once by tap on ok then sent the message . After you have sent, select your message and click on ‘i’ icon present top of the screen and you can see whether that message been opened or seen by the recipient . If don’t open that message for over 14 days then after 14 days media will expire automatically .
2.Archived chats
WhatsApp has another amazing feature that archived chats. It keeps the chat muted in archived sections as long as the user want it to archived. Archived doesn’t mean to delete the chats it only removes the chat and stored in archived sections. This feature is very useful for the unwanted message to keep muted. Whenever the user wanted to reply the archived message they can go to the archived section and reply there. User can keep both the individual and group chats in the archived section without getting any notification of new messages.
How to use :
First you have to update your whatsapp to the latest version from Google play store/ apple play store. For using this feature first you have to select the chat whether it is individual or group chat. Tap and hold the chat and click on the archived icon present on the top of the screen and the chat is archived in the archived section. If you want to see the chat tap on the archived folder and see the new messages .whenever you want to reply you just open the archived folder and reply. If you want to unarchived that chat you just simply press and hold that chat then tap on archived option present above. Chat automatically back to main chat lists. If you want to delete this message then just tap and hold the chat and click in delete option present along side the archived icon. If you want to archived all the chats then tap on ‘3 dots’ present on top right corner to more option. After that click on ‘settings’. Then tap on ‘chats’ option, then comes to the bottom. Here you can find ‘chat history’. Tap on chat history then click on ‘archived all chats’. Whenever you want you can unarchived all the chats by using the same procedure .The important thing is that when u archived any chats whether it is individual or group chats any new message comes from that chat will remain archived without getting any notification. This feature keep muted the archived message unless you are mentioned or replied to that chat . In this manner you can hide the chat that you doesn’t want to see.
3.Reply group message privately
WhatsApp added another feature that you can reply a group message to a particular member privately without seeing other members of your group. Only a chosen recipient will be able to see your chat. Group chat in WhatsApp means at one time you can communicate with multiple people. Any message you can send that will be seen by every member of the group. But sometimes that is not ideal to see your response to a particular message everyone in the group. If you want to reply a particular message in group and no one can seen other than that member of your group, then this new whatsapp feature will be so helpful to “reply privately ” in a group chat. This feature is available for both the android and iOS users.
How to use :
First you have to update your WhatsApp to the latest version from google play store or apple play store. If you want to reply a message in a group chat but you want only sender to see your response. For this you have to open the group chat. Select the particular message you want to reply by long pressing the message. From there click on the 3 dots present upper right corner of your screen, then select “reply privately”. ” After that type your message then click the send button. That message will be appear on separate conversations page that is away from group chat and that person can reply to your message in that separate conversations page and no one of your group can see that conversation between you two.
4. Link Devices – multi device beta
WhatsApp introduced another amazing feature. In this new WhatsApp feature you can linked up to 4 devices at one time. Out of 4 devices you don’t need other 3 devices connected to network. In offline also you can see your messages in all linked devices. In 2 ways you can use your WhatsApp in other devices. Either you can use “WhatsApp web” or you can go for the ” WhatsApp desk” .”WhatsApp web” is browser based application for the WhatsApp and “WhatsApp desk” is a application that you need to download to the computer. The message you can send or receive are synced between your all linked devices.
How to use :
To use this feature first you should update your WhatsApp to the latest version from Google play store / apple play store. First you have to open either ‘WhatsApp web’ in browser or ‘WhatsApp desktop’ app on your device you want to link with your phone.
For android user :-
First you have open your WhatsApp on phone. After that tap in 3 dots present upper right corner of your screen for more option. Then click on ‘linked devices’.Then tap on ” link a device ” . After that one scanner is open in your phone. You just have to point your phone at the screen of your device you want to link . One QR code is appear on other device , you just have to scan the QR code through your phone to link with the device.
For iPhone users :-
Open the WhatsApp in your phone . After that go to the WhatsApp settings option. Then tap on ‘ link a device’ .
After that scan the QR code of other device through your phone and link the device with your phone .
You can also see your linked device status from your phone that means your browser type and last active status of your linked device. In your phone you can tap 3 of the other device to log out from your phone. For this you just have to select the device you want to logout after that 2 option appear i.e. logout and close. Click on the logout option to unlinked the device from your phone.
5. Faster voice notes
WhatsApp introduce a new feature , in this you can play WhatsApp voice message at faster speed . You can now play voice messages at faster speed of 1.5x and 2x. To use this feature you have to update your phone to the latest version on Google play store or apple play store. In this new feature user can listen to the WhatsApp voice message at 3 different speed including normal speed, 1.5x and 2x speed.
Normally by default WhatsApp voice message will play at a normal speed. Along with your phone it also works on WhatsApp web and WhatsApp desktop application. This play back speed icon will be appear in a voice message. Tap on audio message this icon will appear. You can tap the icon to change the speed from normal to 1.5x to 2x speed. Only faster play back option is there . Slower play back option is not available on voice message .
