Now farmers will get a unique farmer ID. This ID will contain the Aadhaar number and mobile number along with the details of the farmer’s land ownership. Farmers with this ID can easily get PM Kisan assistance. However, registration is mandatory for that.
Similarly, in the coming days, farmers will be eligible to sell their paddy in the market and get the Minimum Support Price (MSP) through this identity card. Without the identity card, farmers will face difficulties in selling paddy in the market. It will be easier to get Kisan Credit Card loans. In addition, farmers can take advantage of 7 schemes including the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
How to Register to Get Unique Farmer ID?
Farmers can register on the farmer registration portal or mobile app. Otherwise, they can register by going to the public service center. Various camps will also be organized by the state agriculture department in this regard.The departmental officer has informed that the assistants there will assist in the farmer registration process.
The Farmer Registration Digital System has been jointly developed by both the Government of Odisha and the Government of India. Through this, farmers can get agriculture-related advice, input and alerts in their area. Crop survey, grievance redressal and plan eligibility system can be taken part in.
