India’s Moon mission Chandrayaan-3 is going to be launched on today, July 14, at 2:35 P.M. by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. By the Launch Vehicle Mark III (LVM3), also known as the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III (GSLV-MK3), Chandrayaan-3 will be launched.

Chandrayaan-3 is is anticipated to make soft landing between August 23 and 24 at Moon near its South Pole, the area which will have sunlight, according to ISRO Chairman S Somanath. On the solar panels of the spacecraft, the sunlight has to fall. There is only 14-15 days sunlight on the moon. If these two dates were missed then the landing will be postponed to September and it will be when the time, there is sunlight on the moon.

The rover is comparable to the Vikram rover from Chandrayaan-2, although it upgraded to aid ensure a secure landing.
