How to Download Ration Card Online
Under the Public Distribution System (PDS) of the state where you stay, Ration cards are issued to the public.
- To download a ration card, go to the official website of the PDS of your state that is the nfsa.gov.in where your ration card was made.
- Every state has their own website , where you can download ration cards.
- On the homepage under the ‘e-services’ option click on ‘e-ration card’.
- Next, select the ‘Print Ration Card’ or ‘e-ration card Download’ or ‘Get e-ration card’.
- Then, you will be redirected to a new page where you have to enter your all details in an online form that includes ration card number, personal details, Aadhar number, name, mobile number, date of birth, and email address.
- After enter the details, PDS authorities will verify it and you will be redirected to another page where you can download your ration card in PDF format.
Eligibility Criteria to Apply for a Ration Card
- Applicant should be a citizen of India.
- There is no person who has applied for a ration card on behalf of you.
- No member of your family has applied for a ration card.

- Identity proof (Election Id, Driving License, Passport, Government Id Card).

Online
- To apply for a Ration card online, you can go to the official website of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department of the state.
- By providing the required documents and filling out the application form you can apply for a Ration card.
- After that you can submit the form. After that a representative from the department will assist you with the process and will get in touch with you.
- If you submitted all the documents correctly, then the ration card will be sent to your communication address.

How to add a Member to the Ration card
- To add the members to the ration card, go to the official website of your state’s food supply.
- Log in with your credentials and click on the option to add a new member and on that a new form will appear.
- Fill the form with all the details of that new member and then upload the documents.
- After completing the process, the candidate will receive the registration number and using that they can also track the form. Via post, to the registered address of the applicant, the Ration cards will be delivered.
How to remove members in Ration Card
- To remove members in ration card, go to the official website of your state’s food supply.
- Log in with your credential and on the home page click on the option ‘Card Related Service Request’.
- Next, click on ‘Deletion of member in Ration card’option.
- After that enter the 12-digit ration card number and click on ‘Submit’.
- The existing card members will be shown up on the page.
- You can select the ‘Reason for member removal’, carefully enter the captcha and then, click on ‘Submit’.
- Then, Click on ‘Attach Annexure’ and upload suitable proof for the reason provided for removal of that member.
- After that click on ‘Save Annexure’ and then click on ‘Submit’ and an acknowledgement will be displayed on the page with an application reference number.
How to Check the Status of Ration Card Application
Below are the steps to check the status of your ration card application:
- Go to the official website of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department of the state.
- Under E-services on the website, you will find the option to check the status of your ration card application.
- You will be shown a list that contains the name of the people who have recently applied for a ration card and the status.
- You can also enter your credentials and log in.
- After you have logged in, you will be able to check the status of your ration card application.
How to Download and Print your Ration Card online
- To download and print your ration card first log into the official site of the ration card for the specific state.
- First check the status of your application.
- If the status of the application shows approved, click on the download and print option.
- This printed Ration card consists of all the required details and you can use this printed Ration card to purchase food items at subsidised prices.
