The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Balochistan, Pakistan, hijacked the Zafar Express train yesterday (Tuesday). They took about 200 passengers hostage. More than 200 coffins have been brought to Quetta railway station 24 hours after the incident. However, there is no official information yet regarding the death toll.

These 200 coffins are being sent to Balochistan from Quetta Railway Station. Earlier, former Balochistan Chief Minister Akhtar Mengal posted on X that “there is not even an inch of Balochistan left where the Pakistani government can claim its rights. They have completely lost this war, we warned them, just as our predecessors warned them.” He also said, “Instead of listening to us, they ridiculed us. The Pakistani government dismissed our calls as empty threats, while they encouraged atrocities, looting and bloodshed.”

Encounters between BLA and security forces are reportedly continuing on the second day of the hijacking. Security forces have rescued at least 190 passengers and killed 30 terrorists.
